Alleviating poverty through opportunity
Insight has been a partner of the Community Action Organization of WNY for several years, continually refining the brand and supporting their communications efforts as they carry out their noble mission of providing opportunities to low-income communities in Western New York. Utilizing CAO’s visual brand language, we’ve created a variety of collateral, including business cards, letterhead and envelopes, notepads, and more. In addition, we created their 2019 annual report highlighting each of their programs, such as Head Start/Early Head Start, community center services, and more. We also worked closely with the organization to manage communication strategy during a time of transition, as Thomas Kim became the organization’s new CEO and president in 2020 and implemented a new strategic plan to focus on building community partnerships, streamlining leadership, and overall playing an even more effective role in the community.
On a regular basis we work with the organization on public relations campaigns that garner media attention for their various initiatives in the community, and we utilize their social media platforms to highlight programs and opportunities to potential service users. Each month, we craft an email newsletter titled Our Voices, which is distributed to shareholders and leaders in the community, to share new programs, news, initiatives, client success stories, media attention, and more.
The goal for each of these tactics is to increase awareness and gain participation in programs — and by highlighting the breadth of services offered and the approachable, supportive nature of the brand, we are able to give CAO the recognition it deserves for its important work.
